Midget Team Retains #1 Ranking
The start of the new year showed the Midget team taking 5 out of 6 points in a three game home stand against the Huron Perth Lakers this past weekend. After a first game overtime loss the Midget Spitfires refocused and battled the next two games coming away a 7-4 win and a 2-0 shutout for Connor Meyerink. Based on these results the Spitfires retained the first place ranking in the Alliance.
There are five games remaining against second place London Knights and the third place Lambton Sting. It will be a three way battle for first place heading into playoffs.
