Nations Cup Recap
This past weekend the Spitfires travelled across the border to participate in the Nations Cup in Lansing Michigan where they would match up against some great American squads in a “Canada vs. USA” style format.

Over the course of the weekend the boys would end up playing 5 games in total, finishing with a record of 4 wins and 1 loss. The Spits started out the weekend with wins against the Hamburg Hawks, Little Caesars and Cleveland Jr. Jacks. They then hit a bit of a bump in the road against Compuware but got right back on track winning their final game against the Birmingham Rangers with the game taking place at Munn Arena (home of the Michigan State Spartans!). A real treat for the boys and a great atmosphere.

We can’t say enough about how proud we are of the boys. They battled extremely hard in every minute of every game and never gave up pushing to be their best. 5 games in 3 days is no easy task however the Spits stuck together and supported each other as teammates throughout the entire Tournament and ended up with some real nice medals to show for it! In the end the Canadian teams were just too strong for the Americans to deal with and Canada was able to capture the Nations Cup!!

Way to go boys. Fantastic weekend!!
