Submitted By webmaster on Wednesday, August 29, 2012
Windsor 97 Spitfires take part in Reebok NCAA College Hockey Summit. On Friday August 17th members of the Minor Midget Windsor AAA Spitfires were invited to participate in the Reebok Collegiate Hockey Summit which took place in Ann Arbour, Michigan. The 97's Spitfires were the only Canadian players invited to participate in the event which saw the best minor midget prospects from Michigan and Ohio compete in front of a large collection of NCAA Division 1 coaches and staff.

The event included off-ice presentations, two one-hour scrimmages with at least a dozen Division I coaches in attendance. The event drew high praise from the players and parents. Director of Communications from College Hockey Inc Nate Ewell also had this to say about our AAA Spitfires " Great group of kids -- not only terrific players but they were attentive and very appreciative". As we enter the 2012-13 season we look forward to giving the players of the AAA Zone all the tools, avenues and opportunities post minor hockey. The coaching staff of the 97 Windsor AAA Spitfires would like to thank Nate Ewell and all the NCAA coaches and staff for their invitation to this years summit.
