Congratulations to the Oshawa Generals in capturing the 2015 Memorial Cup title this past week. The Windsor AAA Zone has a strong tie to the Oshawa organization which is owned by Rocco Tullio, who is the coach of the (2001) Bantam Major team.
In addition to Rocco, Hunter Smith (95) and Daniel Robertson (97) are alumni players of the Windsor AAA Zone before being selected in the OHL draft. Also, the Windsor AAA Zone Vice-President, Tony Ciampa is a scout for the Oshawa Generals.
Hunter Smith is currently drafted to Calgary Flames of the NHL.
