Humboldt Tragedy
Submitted By webmaster on Saturday, April 7, 2018
Our country has come together to mourn the sudden, tragic loss of life and injury that has hit the Humboldt Broncos. We talk of “hockey families” and “brotherhood” but I don’t know that we’ve ever seen the solidarity travel coast to coast the way it has in the last 24 hours. Hockey moms across the country are shedding tears, as I did, over hockey players they have never met. Young men who were playing a game they loved with friends they should have had for many years to come. Young men with their whole lives ahead of them.

There are no words that could honour these boys and coaches enough. There are no words that can take the sadness away. All we can do is share our support and hope the families and the community find a way to cope and put the pieces back together.
