U18 Program
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our U-18 AAA program to everyone that would be eligible for 2022/23. The age groups that will qualify are the 2005/06 birth years. The Windsor AAA Zone has an excellent program and has competed at the highest level for the past 8 years. We have some very good players in our area and would like to continue to ice another good Hockey team once again.

The program has been awarded The TELUS Cup Regional Showcase for the upcoming year and we are looking forward to give players and families a great experience in participating in this great event. The best of the best will be heading to Windsor, Ontario to compete for a chance to represent in the TELUS Cup for the Province of Ontario. It is a prestigious event and we will do everything we can to make it an experience that the players and families will never forget. It is also a great way to continue to develop be scouted and seen throughout the year and have a chance once again in the U-18 OHL Draft.

My Name is Tony Ciampa and I have been around the game for a plus of thirty years.  My staff and I will be dedicated to making sure that we represent our area along with our players and to compete at the highest of levels. I have been involved in the U-16 AAA program and also Junior Levels in our area. I am presently retired  from a long term Vice President Position with the Windsor AAA Zone and continue to scout U-15, U-16 and U-18 AAA age groups for the upcoming Priority selection Drafts for the Oshawa Generals OHL team. My Experience in this field is long and dedicated and feel very fortunate to lead the Windsor Major Midget team into this prestigious Tournament for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

As far as recruitment is concerned, the Windsor U18 AAA Program is made up of all players eligible to join that have Alliance Hockey credentials for example: All other age eligible players from within the Alliance has an opportunity to try out and play for Windsor. IE (Sun County, Chatham, Lambton, Elgin and London and all others willing to play on a competitive high level team to compete for the ultimate goal. We want to ice a good respectful and hardworking hockey team and compete at the highest level.

The Windsor U-18 AAA program is an excellent way of continuing their development and being able to play at a high level against other high level players in the province and abroad.  It is important to note that the upcoming year will be a challenge to all players making a decision on where to play. We have always considered U-18 AAA a great alternative to continue to play at a high level. The Windsor U-18 team has produced many draft picks and also has had many players jump to the Junior B or Junior A leagues here locally or abroad. There are many great stories of players that remained in Minor Hockey for one more year and then found themselves playing at higher levels and were satisfied that they along with their families made the right choice. The one thing that I learned through the many years of experience is that every player should play at a level where they can perform and play good minutes throughout the season. We hold the program in High Regard and will continue to pursue a championship with this Next group of talented players moving forward. The Fact that we will be able to show the province that we have real talent in our area is a great bonus. The U-18 AAA program will be run like a Junior Hockey team with a home rink and their own Dressing rooms. We have partnered with Central Park Athletics for the past ten years and have grown with an excellent facility and we are looking forward to working with them to make this event an event to remember forever.

There will be more information in the upcoming weeks regarding our recruitment and more information coming as far as tryouts come September. My Staff and I will be out to see some junior camps in the area so that my staff can familiarize themselves with players in our area. We are looking forward to September and choosing a team of great players and families and move forward to an ultimate memory in the making for years to come. I have scouted the 2005 and 2006 eligible players for the Oshawa Generals and have seen the players perform either at the U-18 or U-16 AAA Levels.  I have sent this email out to numerous players and families and if anyone who is interested or know of anyone I may have left out please forward the email to others from outside that would be interested. As stated we want players who want to continue to develop at a high level and prepare for Junior Hockey.

If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me at any time.
