Dear Prospective Sponsor,
The Windsor Jr Spitfires (Windsor AAA Zone) are looking for Sponsors for our 1st annual Border City Memorial Cup Tournament. This tournament will be comprised of 22 AAA teams from the 2012 and 2013 age group.
Your contributions will greatly assist the players and our organization by offsetting the costs of ice fees, officials, timekeepers, and other tournament operation expenses. With your generosity we hope to be able to host a premier youth sports tournament that will become an annual event.
Because the tournament is in name a memorial tournament, our organization has chosen to pick a representative honoree from the community that has a connection to our organization, community, and minor hockey. This year’s honorees will be Robert and Tricia Morneau. In a close series of tragic events both passed away in a brief period of each other who at the time had two sons playing travel hockey with the Jr Spitfires. Robert was involved in a fatal workplace accident, while at the same time Tricia was courageously battling cancer eventually losing it less than a year after her husband’s passing. These dedicated and loving parents nurtured the love, passion, and sense of community of there two young sons Noah and Christian who continue to play sports at a high level today. Robert and Tricia Morneau represented the values and spirit that is at the cornerstone of our organization and community sports everywhere.
Your sponsorship will be recognized by way of advertisement of the business or company in our tournament player handbook that every player will receive that attends and on our organization’s website. Sponsors will also receive a letter of recognition from our organization and/or a plaques in recognition of your sponsorship. Title sponsors will also have their companies announced during championship games and our Primary Title sponsor will be invited to participate in final game ceremonies at our facility on Sunday.
