Minor Pee Wee (02), 2013-2014 (Windsor AAA Zone)

On the weekend of Jan 17th to the 19th the 2002's are heading to Buffalo to play in the The North American Cup Invitational. This tournament will bring together the best 2002 tournament lineup of the year. 12 teams from Canada and 12 from the USA will faceoff in Buffalo NY.

Once again this year, the 2013 edition of the Detriot Warrior Tournament is the place to be for top competition at the 2002 Peewee age group. 48 Teams are coming to the Detriot area to compete in 2 Brackets. Our Windsor team will be in with some tight competition against some of the best across North America located in the Covert division. The Warrior Tournament has 13 of the Top 25 Ontario teams and 9 of the Top 25 US based teams attending. So 22 of the 28 teams in the Covert division are in the Top 25 this year!!! The tournament starts Oct 18th with our Jr. Spitfires taking on Guelph Jr. ...

Last night at Central Park an idea put together by the Director of Coaching Sean Smith came together. Get two teams on the ice to work on skills so we can combine ice times and get more ice time for the kids. The 2003's and the 2002's were out there together working on skating and some small area drills. The 2002's were excited to be leaders and the 2003's were working hard to show they can keep up. Some of the highlights included the excitement for an old classic "Shoot the Duck" and also the introduction to the dreaded "Mountain Test"! This summer the 2002 PeeWee Minor Team was entered into a 10000 puck challenge by Coach Pawluk with results recorded online. The team collectively together did over 90000 shots this summer led by 6 players hitting the 10000 mark. Matty Maggio, Adam Pizzo, Jake Archer, Luka Mesic, Riley Pawluk and Jax Boucher all hit the target goal of 10000. Even the Goalies Nic Manzon and Micheal Pizzuti got in on the shots. It was a great job done by all and early results in practice show that it was well worth the effort.
