What a great weekend up in Peterborough for the U12's. With 7 games in less then 68 hours this team came together with a great effort. We went 3-1 in Round Robin then came up against a strong Clarington team in Quarters and won in OT 4-3, next up was the Markham Waxers who were the #1 seed in playoff round and we again took the extra time of OT to win 2-1. Boys put in a great effort in the final and came up short but does not take anything away from a great weekend. A prestigious award was won by Shea Allton this weekend as the Tournament Top Scorer an award won by other NHL and OHL players in the past.
This was a complete effort put in by Parents, Players and Alumni. Parents with great team Pasta dinner and Fish fry nights and campfires. Players either fishing for the first time ever or playing Hide the Flag at lakeside resort. Alumni shoutout goes to Konnor Smith who promised some boys he would show up for the final if they made it and he did and stayed for the whole game. Thanks to everyone for such a great experience for this Coach to have!!!
