Jr. Spits Impress at Titans Tournament
The Windsor Jr. Spitfires U16 team had an impressive Toronto Titans tournament. The Jr Spits went 3-0-1 for first place in their division. The Spits opened up against the Peterborough Jr Petes in game one with a 4-3 win. In game two, the Jr Spits tied a very tough team in the Reps Hockey Club 2-2.
In game three, the Jr Spits defeated the Mississauga Rebels 3-2 and finished the round robin with a win over the Whitby Wildcats 2-0. After a great round robin, the Windsor Jr Spitfires had to face the top ranked Vaughan Kings in the quarter finals. The Jr. Spits fell to Vaughan 4-3 in overtime. It was a great game but unfortunately, they came up a bit short to move on. It was a fantastic effort from the whole team who now look ahead, where they head to London next weekend for the Wendy Duffton tournament.
